    Greens to stand in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election

    Every vote for the Scottish Greens is a vote for people and planet. The Scottish Greens have announced that they will be standing in the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election on June 5th.  The Green candidate, Ann McGuinness, is a voice for equality and climate action in South Lanarkshire and beyond. Ann is a director of a charity which promotes rural connections and champions rural diversity. Her own lived experiences of poverty and disability provide her with valuable insight into the challenges faced by many whose voices are often unheard in our public discourse.     Meetings are off at the council for a month and the general election is done. The Green vote share quadrupled nationally and we got 4 MPs. Thank you to everyone who voted Green, our best ever result in East Kilbride! We will keep working for you every day and encourage those in charge to be bolder and more creative to tackle the many challenges we face.
