Cllr Kirsten Robb

Kirsten, is the first Green Councillor to be elected in South Lanarkshire. She was brought up in East Kilbride and lives in Calderwood, in the ward she represents, with her husband and two school age boys. Kirsten sits on South Lanarkshire Council’s Executive Committee and Climate Change committees, amongst others.

For more details about Kirsten, including where to contact her, please see the information page of the South Lanarkshire Council Website

Before being elected Kirsten managed a team working on community action projects in rural Lanarkshire but took time off to volunteer full time in her community, successfully opening up more multi use games areas, saving and improving parks, and getting the area fixed up. She has also been a community councillor for the ward, started up a number of local organisations and currently volunteers for EK Community Litter Pickers, Outlet Play, Calderglen Volunteers and the Space to Play campaign.

“I’m here to help you with whatever issues you are facing. My approach will continue to be to listen to what people want and then help them. I know our area can do better, and the people of our ward deserve the best. I will work hard to secure additional funding and try new approaches to restore what we’ve lost and build what we need.”
